Project 366: #3
Beware: when you’re on camera, and another person is at the bridge controls, you’re susceptible to being wiped out.

We’re a classy bunch of drinkers, with our Rolling Rock, PBR, and Cap’n Morgan.
Project 366: #1
I was thinking about this, and I think I can do it. I’m going to take a picture or shoot a video every day of 2008, and post it here.
Figures, though, that yesterday I was nowhere close to my computer and I wasn’t able to upload a picture or video. I’m already playing catch-up… oh well.
So as a fitting beginning to this project, here’s the toast I made at my friends house on New Years.

See Tom, this is why we can’t blog nice things

Screen cap one of the Loserz forum members got from our forum chat room. Apparently I said that last night. Hmm.
It’s like rule 34
So I’m watching the behind-the-scenes of Deadliest Catch, narrated by Mike Rowe, when I thought, “Hmm, I wonder what would come up when I type ‘Mike Rowe’ into YouTube” thinking that some Dirty Jobs clips would come up. But then this came up instead…

Sweet Freedom
No school for a week and a half for the Holidays, sweet. I wasn’t quite prepared for the physical work involved in being at school five days a week again, 6-1030pm. Compounded with nonstop Holiday work hours between two (three?) retail stores, yeah, I’m relatively pooped.
Despite the lack of personal time, I feel pretty upbeat, especially after the recording session today. I’ll see if I can borrow some time at Kingstar Studio One (Read: Erik’s basement) so I can convert my MiniDisc voice-overs to a more common digital format. These crazy and somewhat creative ideas have been flowing again, regarding some possible podcast productions coming up in 2008. I’ll see what I can begin to organize myself during this short week and a half break.
Radio and TV. It’s the area I decided to head into, post-engineering, and I’ve gotta put some work into it. I feel more confident now doing it than when Eric and I started some random shit last summer.
Stay tuned after the break.
Windows Live Writer
So instead of sleeping tonight, I decided to try out Windows Live Writer to publish my blog. I just hope it doesn’t completely screw with, well, everything. It is a Microsoft product, after all.
Fun in Photoshop
So I’ve spent the night playing around in Photoshop; specifically, I’ve been trying to greyscale and emulate the style on the DVD/movie poster of Better Luck Tomorrow:
After some browsing in my own photo library, I realized that rarely do I have full-body pictures of people; So I end up back at an old standby photo from the Chicago Rescue Mission. I’ve only spent about 30-45 minutes fooling around and tweaking with adjustment layers and such, and I came to this, which is pretty close to the style I was going for:
Twenty-Two
It’s like turning 21, except your alcohol tolerance is much, much higher. In theory.
Cherry Chocolate Rain
Mr. Zonday? Yes, your fifteen minutes have been extended to twenty.
